In 2014 Lockleaze Basketball Club sadly said farewell to a much loved and respected friend and Team Mate in Kevin Fearon. Sadly and suddenly Kevin passed leaving family, friends and all who knew him in shock.
Kevin was the kind of guy that everybody loved, he would light up a room with his smile and was respected and loved by all who had the pleasure of calling him a friend.
Lockleaze Basketball Club had lost one of their own, Kevin had been an integral part of the clubs success for many years and had the respect and love of everybody at the Club and involved with Basketball Locally. Kevin was A fierce competitor on the court but a fantastic friendly and widely respected man off of the court. His loss to a great many people was shown at his funeral where hundreds attended to remember his life.
Kevin has sadly gone but he will never be forgotten by those who have had the pleasure of meeting him.
It was therefore decided that the "4KEVIN" fund would be a fantastic way to remember him and to allow us as a club to dedicate our resources to raising money.
The Club thought long and hard about how this should be done and decided that as Kevin was such a fun loving and happy guy that the money raised should be used to help to remember this. Kevin left behind three children and it was decided that this would be the focus of our fundraising efforts.
Each Year money would be raised to give his children a fun-filled memory.
A time to remember just how many smiles he brought to the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
